CSS adapter cable fits the J1939 deutsch 9-pin connector found in most trucks, buses and tractors – and lets you easily connect e.g. a CANedge to record 2 x J1939 data.

Heavy-duty vehicles that provide access to 2 x J1939 via the deutsch 9-pin connector, this cable may provide you with a richer dataset vs. CSS normal J1939 adapter cable.

CSS offer two variants of the cable: ‘J1939-DB9/DB9 (H+J)’ and ‘J1939-DB9/DB9 (F+G)’, depending on which of pins in the deutsch 9-pin connector provide access to the second network

About the CSS adapter cable

CSS adapter cable is useful in heavy-duty vehicles (trucks, buses, tractors, …) that provide access to multiple J1939 networks through a single deutsch 9-pin connector.

Specifically, the cable lets you connect a CSS CAN bus data logger (like the CSS CANedge) directly to the deutsch connector to both log the primary J1939 network (like CSS standard J1939 adapter), as well as a secondary J1939 network (if available).

This cable comes in two versions:

As an example, tractor diagnostic connectors will match the CSS H+J version, providing you with access to both the J1939 and ISOBUS network in parallel.
