Overview
Key Specifications
Range of deployment options: 0.72-in (1.83-cm) diameter titanium housing is suitable for harsh environments. The TROLL® Shield Antifouling System extends instrument deployments at high-fouling sites.
Durable design: Titanium
Extended battery life: 5 years or 200,000 readings (1 reading = time and date plus all available parameters polled or logged from the device)
Supported parameters: Actual conductivity, specific conductivity, salinity, total dissolved solids, resistivity, density
Accurate readings
Conductivity sensor: < 80,000 µS/cm ±0.5% of reading + 1 µS/cm; > 80,000 µS/cm ±1.0% of reading
Temperature sensor: ±0.1° C
Pressure sensor: ±0.05% full scale at 15° C
SCADA and telemetry ready: Uses open communication protocols, including Modbus/RS485, SDI-12, and 4-20 mA
Versatile power options: Uses external battery pack or line power
Aqua TROLL 200 Data Logger
The Aqua TROLL® 200 CTD Logger measures and records conductivity, temperature, and water level/pressure.
Conductivity measurements can be used to characterize water quality changes relative to a baseline or to estimate the concentration of contaminants. Plus, you get the highest levels of accuracy when monitoring water level in saline environments.
Rugged Design
- Titanium housing safeguards against corrosion.
- Sealed unit withstands pressures up to 500 psi.
Extended Deployments
- Typical battery life is 5 years or 200,000 readings. External batteries, solar power, or external 8-36 VDC options are also available.
- TROLL® Shield Antifouling System reduces biofouling and increases deployment times.
Accurate Results
- Dynamic density compensation delivers superior water level accuracy in environments where salinity values vary due to mixing, rainfall, or tides.
- Instruments are factory-calibrated and validated with NIST®-traceable standards.
Flexible Communications
Simplified Setup and Data Management
- Win-Situ® Software simplifies programming, data retrieval, and data analysis.
- Standard logging modes include linear, linear average, and event testing1 with logging rates2as fast as 1/sec.
Applications
- Aquifer storage and recovery
- Discharge monitoring
- Estuary and wetland studies
- Mine water management
- Recovery water monitoring at hydraulic fracturing sites
- Remediation projects
- Saltwater intrusion monitoring
- Storm surge analysis
- Tracer studies
1External power supply or battery pack required when using event testing and is recommended when using linear average testing.
2See specifications for specific logging rates using linear, linear average, and event testing.
